wahoo
Species (Acanthocybium solanderi) of swift-moving, powerful, predacious food and game fish found worldwide, especially in the tropics. A slim, streamlined fish, it has sharp-toothed, beaklike jaws and a tapered body ending in a crescent-shaped tail. Gray-blue above and paler below, it is marked with a series of vertical bars and, like the related tunas, has a row of small finlets behind the dorsal and anal fins. It may grow to 6 ft (1.8 m) long and weigh more than 120 lbs (55 kg).

baboon
Any of five species of robust monkeys (genus Papio, or Chaeropithecus) of Arabia and sub-Saharan Africa. Baboons have a large head, cheek pouches, and a long, doglike muzzle. They walk on all fours, carrying the tail in a characteristic arch. They weigh 30-90 lbs (14-40 kg) and are about 20-45 in. (50-115 cm) long, excluding the tail (18-28 in., or 45-70 cm, long). Found mainly in drier savanna and rocky areas, they feed on a variety of plants and animals. Highly intelligent, they travel in large noisy troops, communicating by calls. They may destroy crops, and their enormous canine teeth and powerful limbs make them dangerous opponents.

bazooka
Shoulder-type rocket launcher adopted by the U.S. Army in World War II. It consisted of a smoothbore steel tube, originally about 5 ft (1.5 m) long, open at both ends and equipped with a hand grip, shoulder rest, trigger mechanism, and sights. Officially named the M9A1 Rocket Launcher, it was called bazooka after the crude horn of that name used by a popular radio comedian. It was developed chiefly for attacking tanks and fortified positions at short range. The U.S. Army abandoned it during the Vietnam War in favor of lighter-weight antitank weapons.

lagoon
Area of relatively shallow, quiet water with access to the sea but separated from it by sandbars, barrier islands, or coral reefs. Coastal lagoons have low to moderate tides and constitute about 13% of the world's coastline. Their water is colder than the sea in winter and warmer in summer. In warm regions, evaporation may more than balance any freshwater input and may result in hypersaline water and even the buildup of thick salt deposits. Coral-reef lagoons occur on marginal reefs such as the Great Barrier Reef, but the most spectacular examples, some more than 30 mi (50 km) across, are associated with Pacific atolls.

Lahore
City (pop., 1981: 2,950,000), capital of Punjab province, NE Pakistan. The second largest city of Pakistan, it lies in the upper Indus plain on the Ravi River. An ancient city, it became prominent with the coming of the Mughals in the 11th-12th cent. It was captured by Babur's troops in 1524, and was later under Akbar, and Jahangir. Ruled by Sikhs in the early 19th cent., it passed to the British in 1849. After Indian independence, Lahore passed to Pakistan in 1947. It is the site of the mosque of Wazir Khan (1634); a mosque built by Aurangzeb; ...
