Possible definitions for trisome

episome
Any of a group of genetic elements consisting of DNA and capable of giving selective advantage to the bacteria in which they occur. Episomes may be attached to the bacterial cell membrane or become part of the chromosome. Cells with episomes act like males during conjugation, a mating process in certain bacteria. During conjugation, cells lacking the episome may receive either the episome or the episome plus the genes to which it is attached. Experiments involving gene transfers from cells in which episomes have been incorporated in the chromosomes have been used to determine the locations of genes on the chromosome.

Trasimeno
Lake, Umbria, central Italy. The largest lake of the Italian peninsula, it has an area of 49 sq mi (128 sq km) and is shallow, with a maximum depth of 20 ft (6 m). It is fed by small streams and has an artificial subterranean outlet (opened 1898) to the Tiber River. In 217 BC Hannibal defeated a Roman army led by Flaminius there in the Second Punic War. In World War II it was the scene of severe fighting (1944) between the British and German armies.

trireme
Oar-powered warship. Light, fast, and maneuverable, it was the principal naval vessel with which Persia, Phoenicia, and the Greek city-states vied for mastery of the Mediterranean from the Battle of Salamis (480 BC) through the end of the Peloponnesian War (404). The Athenian trireme was about 120 ft (37 m) long, and was rowed by 170 oarsmen seated in three tiers along each side; it could reach speeds of more than 7 knots (8 mph, or 13 kph). Square-rigged sails were used when the ship was not engaged in battle. Armed with a bronze-clad ram, it carried spearmen and bowmen to attack enemy crews. By the late 4th cent. BC, armed deck soldiers had become so important in naval warfare that it was superseded by heavier ships. See also galley.
