Possible definitions for quader

Kundera
Czech-French writer. He worked as a jazz musician and taught at Prague's film academy, but gradually turned to writing. Though a member of the Communist Party for years, his works were banned after he participated in Czechoslovakia's short-lived liberalization movement (1967-68), and he was fired from his teaching positions. He emigrated to France in 1975. His works combine erotic comedy with political criticism. The Joke (1967), his first novel, describes life under Stalin. The Book of Laughter and Forgetting (1979), a series of wittily ironic meditations on the modern state, and the novel The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1984; film, 1988) were banned in his homeland until 1989. His later books include Immortality (1990) and Slowness (1994).

The company's fragrance and cosmetics products, incl. Clinique cosmetics and Aramis men's products, are now sold through department and specialty stores in more than 70 countries.

quasar
Any of a class of rare cosmic objects of high luminosity and strong radio emission observed at extremely great distances. The term is also often applied to closely related objects that have the same optical appearance but do not emit radio waves, the so-called QSOs (quasi-stellar objects). Most quasars exhibit very large red shifts, suggesting that they are moving away from earth at tremendous speeds (approaching the speed of light) and are some of the most distant known objects in the universe. Quasars are no more than a light-year or two across but up to 1,000 times more luminous than a giant galaxy with a diameter of 100,000 light-years, allowing them to be observed at distances of more than 10 billion light-years. Many investigators attribute such energy generation to gas spiraling at high velocity into a supermassive black hole at the center of an otherwise normal galaxy. See also active galactic nuclei.
